Maureen Denise McCormick is the only child and youngest of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills. Her father taught at school and her mother was at home. Michael, Dennis and Kevin are her three older brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and would often perform puppet shows in front of the kids in her neighbourhood. The fairy tale began for McCormick when she was six years old and won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest. After that, she got a phone call from Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick was chosen to play her first big role at the age of 64. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial featuring an adorable doll named Baby Pattaburp. In the same year she starred in another advertisement for the doll of Mattel "Chatty Caty" and soon was cast at La Jolla Playhouse for her role as the oldest daughter on the upcoming TV sitcom, The Brady Bunch. McCormick was the eldest of three daughters who had two heads on The Brady Bunch TV comedy The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the main character as well as Robert Reed was the father. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick, in her book Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 revealed that, during the 5th season, McCormick almost lost her relationship with her brother Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time, while Barry was just 19. "It could have been a possibility," she said, "but the timing was never the right time to us."
